SECTION REPORTS
CRICKET
Positive start, both teams winning.
Membership is good, covering costs & in profit
Club has acquired old site screens & practice cage from Ribchester Cricket Club following its closure. There will be a cost of £200 for new netting to upgrade. Tony to look into possibility of getting some netting free.
Digging has started to expose permanent concrete practice area.
Discussion about looking into what Grant funds are available; will need to identify what is required & submit bids.
Plan to play Saturday & Sunday throughout season until 11th September
Graham to check subs are in.
TENNIS
Both teams doing well
Coaching 8/9 people
Stipulated if members not paid subs, then they will not play
FINANCE
Bar doing well
CHILD WELFARE
Richard is the lead with Duncan deputy
Recognised Richard has done a lot of work re this.
Information needs to be on the website
Discussion about CRB clearance, Duncan stipulated the league will send out reminders to those registered re renewal

WEBSITE
Need to ensure policies & Club minutes go on the notice board & website to ensure they are available to all members

BAR
Income up, football has helped
Volunteers are required to run the bar, especially at functions
Dean to put up a rota to encourage volunteers
EVENTS
Idea of an events organiser raised, still up for consideration
Identified we need to organise events more in advance & distribute leaflets locally
Idea of producing a newsletter/calendar of events raised.
12th September Alzheimer’s Walk event
Open Mike night – Dean & Laurence to arrange for mid to late July

It was with great sadness that we heard of the death of Jim Hubbard, a long standing member of the Club, our thoughts go out to Jean & family.
Ideas were raised about obtaining a bench in memory of Jim
