1st Annual Harvest Walks

Withnell Fold Sports and Social Club

                    Sunday 7^th September

The Harvest walks are designed to show of the delightful countryside around Withnell Fold and to raise funds for the redevelopment of the ground and club house.

Entrants will be provided with route sheets well before the event and will receive a certificate on completion.

There are 3 routes to choose from, a 3 mile guided history walk, a 6 mile and 12 mile walk all starting and finishing from Withnell Fold Cricket ground.

VENUE: Withnell Fold Sports and Social Club

TIME: Registration 10am to 10.50am Walk starts at 11am

EQUIPMENT: Entrants are expected to carry a map, compass, whistle, first aid kit and torch The 6 and 12 mile walk has the option of going through a tunnel. The conditions are likely to be wet underfoot and stout footwear is recommended. All entrants should carry waterproof clothing.

REFRESHMENTS: Tea, coffee or juice and biscuits will be available free of charge at the start, a meal with tea, coffee or juice is also included at the finish.

Walkers should take their own refreshments if required during the walk.

RETIREMENTS: Anyone wishing to retire must phone the contact number available on the day to advise the walk organisers.

RULES:

1.   Entrants must comply with the instructions of the organisers

2.   All participants must keep to the prescribed route

3.   All participants must abide by the Country Code

4.   Family participants must walk together and retire together

5.   Sorry – NO DOGS

6.   The organisers and owners of the land used on the walk cannot be held responsible for any injury, loss or damage caused or sustained by participants during the walk.

ENTRY FEES: Under 6 – free Under 16 £6.00  Adults £7.50 Family £23.00

Entries on the day £12.00. You are advised to book early as numbers are limited to 150

Please enter me for the 1^st Annual Harvest Walks on 7^th September. I enclose the relevant entry fee. I have read and agree to abide by the rules of the event and the country code. I confirm that I am in good health and have no medical condition that may cause undue concern or inconvenience to others. I understand that I participate at my own risk and that no liability is accepted by the organisers for any injury, damage or loss sustained by me during the event. One month social membership of the WFSSC is included in the entry fee.
