in April! Fortunately, Pneumonia Park didn't live up to its name for once.
The skipper WON THE TOSS AGAIN (that makes three out of three) and put them
in to bat. Parkey soon blew away their upper order helped splendidly by
(no, not a curry the night before, but) Bing who held two difficult chances.
The other bowlers chipped in to dismiss Brinscall for a lowly 62.
Our batting was far more compelling viewing than the Cup Final (two lots
of southern jessies, apparently). We made hard work of reaching 33 for
4 off 20 overs until Sargey and Steve Harwood rattled off the 30 runs
needed in 4 overs to seal a comfortable win. Quick pint then back to the
Fold to see the 1sts lose on the last ball of the game to a combination
of vociferous appealing and rank bad umpiring. |
