Coppice saw
the welcome return of Crabbers for his first outing of the season. It must
be as a result of this new policy of closing rest homes. Just for the record
he arrived in sensible car. More funny tales from him, it's just a pity
his batting is still crap. A magnificent partnership (I would say that wouldn't
I) partnership by the trusty old farts, Sargey and Parkey added a swift
50 including two straight sixes by Mr P - typical of a man famed for his
firepower and huge blows. After they went the scoring rate dipped but fortunately
Mr Extras top scored with 26 to take us to 102-9. Would it be enough? Because
of the rain we had bowl them in not many overs, equally Coppice had limited
time to get the runs. In the end it was close but no result, though it could
have gone either way. Oh yes, the two batting stars also got three wickets
each (that's another pint you owe me Parkey!). |
